Five Things You Need To Know: Feb. 5

Take a beading class, enjoy an author's reading and more happenings today on Martha's Vineyard.

2. Dad's Group takes place tonight at the MV Community Services Family Center (at the side entrance of the Martha's Vineyard Regional High School). A playgroup for dad's and their kids. 3. There is an Author's Reading with Laura Wainwright tonight at the Vineyard Haven Library. She will be reading from a selection of essays from "Home Bird: Four Seasons on Martha's Vineyard." 7:00 pm. 

4. The Russian Winter Film Series at the Edgartown Library continues this week with a well-performed fairy tale centered around a clash of cultures, as beautiful as it is funny. Directed by Aleksandr Rogozhkin. Russia, 2002. Adults only. Free. Call 508-627-4221 for more information. 7:00 pm.
