Five Things You Need To Know: Dec. 1

Enjoy a day on the farm with the kids, buy local island goods and produce at the Winter Farmers Market and chow on wings for a good cause.

 

1. Today, The Farm Institute's Wee Farmers program will take place from 9 a.m.-10 a.m., for children ages 2-5, with an adult present. Cost is $15. For more information, please call 508-627-7007 ext. 104.

2. The Winter Farmers Market takes place today at the Agricultural Hall  in West Tisbury. It will feature local produce, sundries, live music, food and more. 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

3. The Lovingkindness MV Holiday Gift Show is happening at 10 a.m. today at 129 Indian Hill Road with offerings such as clothing, accessories, tinctures, organic snacks and more. All are welcome. 

4. The fourth annual Wingfest fundraiser will be going on today from noon to 4 p.m. at Sharky's in Edgartown, proceeds will benefit the Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, to buy tickets online visit dreamlandmv.com.

5. Tonight is the 15th annual Nutcracker ballet performed by Children in the Arts of Martha's Vineyard featuring dancers from the Martha's Vineyard School of Ballet and Atlantic Coast Ballet. The show will take place at the Martha's Vineyard High School Performing Arts Center at 7 pm.
