Digital Connectors Returns to Alex's Place

Comcast brings popular computer class for teens back to Alex's Place at the YMCA

at the is proud to announce that and digital literacy training program will return to the Vineyard this year.

Digital Connectors is an eight month, bi-weekly class based program that instructs students  ages 14 - 21 about Computer Application, Information Technology, Financial literacy, Digital Literacy, Digital Responsibility the internet, and much more. Sponsored by Comcast, Digital Connectors is offered at no cost to those selected to attend.

Last year, 15 teens were selected to participate based upon their leadership qualities and their interest in digital literacy. Throughout the eight month long program, students were required to attend two weekly class sessions in which they studied and became certified in Cisco systems IT technology, financial literacy, film creation, computer repair and much more. In addition, all students had to complete community service hours.

Students will be selected after the application and interview process. Interviews take place at Alex's Place on September 11, 2012
