And the Winner Is…The Martha’s Vineyard Museum

Votes are in and you chose the Martha's Vineyard Museum for the Best Staycation Destination on Martha's Vineyard

Since we live on an Island that is constantly on destinations in the country, this was a hard contest. Everything to do here is a Staycation Destination – even just a walk around your beautiful block!

However, we asked and you voted the as the with Menemsha Beach coming in at a close second. It’s no real surprise, as the MV Museum works constantly to be a representation of the Island’s rich history, arts and culture...and they do a fabulous job.

Their current exhibitions include and their soon-to-open .  They have permanent collections like: 10,000 Years on Martha’s Vineyard -an archaeological study on Martha's Vineyard history and a real 19th century Fresnel Lens from the Gay Head Light.

MV Museum’s Executive Director David Nathans was thrilled to learn that MV Patch readers had chosen the museum as their favorite staycation destination.

“Given the very stiff competition, many that I take visitors to myself, we’re humbled to be considered and proud that people choose us as a place to come and bring there families,” he said.
