94 Menemsha Inn Road, Chilmark

This is a spectacular property with waterviews all around. A great house for a family looking for a great summer on Martha's Vineyard!

Menemsha is a small fishing village located in the town of Chilmark on the island of Martha's Vineyard. The village's historic harbor serves as the point of departure for local fishermen, some multi-generational fishing families such as the Larsens, Pooles and Mayhews, as well as charter boats to the Elizabeth Islands and elsewhere. Besides charter fishing and cruises, other possibilities for recreation are the public beach adjacent to the harbor and the bicycle ferry across Menemsha Pond to Aquinnah as well as many excellent places to get freshly cooked seafood. It is also home of one of the most dramatic sunsets in New England. Menemsha was once known as Menemsha Creek. It is well-known for being the background of Steven Spielberg's film "Jaws".

This property is truly one of a kind. This waterfront home is set high atop the hills of Menemsha with towering views of the Vineyard Sound and Elizabeth Islands. This spectacular house was built with an attention to detail including the recycling of heart pine and grand old beams. The 4 bedroom , 2.5 bath house incorporates the views from every room into its soulful design. The location and privacy of the 5.6 acres ensures that the joys of this property will remain for all time. This home is large enough for a big family yet retains a cozy feel. Imagine spending the summer, swimming, fishing, boating, and buying clams and lobsters at Larsens for you shore dinner? Please invite me!
