What's Open, Closed on the Fourth of July?

Banks: closed.

Bus service: VTA is running extra buses for the holiday weekend: See http://www.vineyardtransit.com/Pages/VTA_BBoard/040CB3BF-000F8513 for a pdf schedule.

Government offices: closed.

Libraries: closed.

Mail: The U.S. Postal Service will not have any post offices open on the Fourth of July, nor will there be any mail delivery or pickup.

Businesses, including grocery stores, restaurants and liquor stores: Open at the owner's discretion: Please see below.

Trash collection: Regular schedule in most Island towns.

Emergency: Call 911 for police or fire emergencies.

Aazora Face & Body Sanctuary: open 10 - 5 at
25 Main St, VH 508-693-6003 aazora.com.

Alex's Place at the Y: closed on July 4th, reopening Friday night with the weekly Community Open Stage at 9 p.m.

Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary: open, with a bird walk at 8am, Guided Kayak tour at 9AM, and Creature Feature for 3-5 year olds at 10am. Trails and nature center are also open.

The Martha's Vineyard Museum: open.
