My best Island St. Patrick's Day was with my Mom, when the Irish musician-painter David O'Docherty cooked a big Hibernian meal at Helios, the Greek restaurant at the old Artworkers Guild in Tisbury. The food was fine but the session afterward was fantastic with fiddles, tin whistle and more. Pretty sure Rosie from the Shenandoah was playing. (1978? Do you remember, Mom?) Helios is long gone and alas, so is David; but what an enduringly great night! Wishing you all just as much fun this year.
