Brew Pub On Tap for Edgartown

The owners of Bad Martha Brewing Company have received approval to build a brew pub and retail shop on Upper Main Street, the Vineyard Gazette reports. So who are these guys? Here's their story.

Have you tried Bad Martha beer and ale? The Bad Martha Brewing Company launched its first products last summer and is now planning a brewpub and retail shop in Edgartown, according to the Vineyard Gazette, which reports that the company has received approval to build a facility on the Donaroma's campus on Upper Main Street.

Who's behind the brew pub? Here's what Bad Martha Brewing Company posted on Patch last summer:

"Bad Martha beer is brewed by Bad Martha Brewing Company, a new island-based venture owned by Jonathan Blum, a 20+ year seasonal resident of the island and Peter Rosbeck, a long-time island resident. Blum’s plan for Bad Martha is to not only create an excellent craft beer, but also a business centered around socially responsible practices.

Product Mission: To make and sell the finest quality handcrafted beers made by caring employees who share a commitment to incorporate wholesome, fresh ingredients while promoting business practices that respect the community.
