Fundraiser to Benefit Angel Flight NE

Angel Flight NE is a non-profit organization that arranges free air transportation for patients and their families needing medical treatment far from their homes and who, due to financial, inaccessibility and/or physical limitations cannot utilize commercial air transportation.

Since Angel Flight NE was founded in 1996, the organization has specifically impacted the Martha’s Vineyard community and has scheduled almost 8,600 Vineyard flights and flown 5,400 Martha’s Vineyard missions. Martha’s Vineyard alone equates for $1.8 million in Angel Flight NE patient services.

Last year’s Wings of Hope Fundraiser on Martha’s Vineyard was in honor of long time Vineyard residents, Alan T. Campbell, a well-known and loved Tisbury School Principal who served the community for well beyond his 25 year educational career on island and Kathleen A. Gillis, a beloved Vineyarder and devoted mother of four. Both were Angel Flight patients who flew more than 50 flights.
