Wynton Marsalis Plays Free Concert for Kids on Martha's Vineyard

Hear Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra Friday morning at Martha's Vineyard Regional High School, free for kids up to age 18 and $20 for oldsters.

Famed jazz trumpeter and multiple Grammy winner Wynton Marsalis is bringing his 14-member Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra to the Performing Arts Center at Martha's Vineyard Regional High School Friday morning, Aug. 16 for a concert of "Jazz for Young People."

The 11 a.m. performance is free to anyone 18 or younger, and $20 a seat for older folks.

That's a bargain compared to the cost of seats at the Tabernacle when Marsalis and the JLCO play there Saturday at 5:30 p.m.: $35 to $500.

Tickets to both shows are available at ticketsmv.com.
