UPDATED: "Wizard of Oz" Continues on the Vineyard

The Island Theatre Workshop's production of the beloved musical continues through the weekend with a 2 p.m. closing matinee Sept. 1.

We received a question on our Facebook page, and the answer is yes: There's still time to see the Wizard on Martha's Vineyard.

The Island Theatre Workshop is presenting "The Wizard of Oz" at Martha's Vineyard Regional High School through the weekend, with daily performances at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and a closing matinee Sunday at 2 p.m. (corrected from earlier post).

The show stars MVRHS sophomore Darby Patterson of West Tisbury as Dorothy in a production that "fills the space with light, sound and fun," according to Martha's Vineyard Times reviewer Tony Omer in "The Wizard of Oz at Performing Arts Center is a hit."

Tickets, available from ticketsmv.com or at the door, are $20, $12 for children under 12. For more information, call 508-737-8550 or visit itwmv.org.
