Martha's Vineyard Othello Film Screening

Filmed on Martha’s Vineyard and other locations in the 1960’s but never before shown on the Island, cast members from the Shearer Summer Theater appear in this groundbreaking interpretation of Shakespeare’s famous play with an all-black cast.

Starring Yaphet Kotto as Othello and directed by Liz White.

A brief introduction will touch on the film’s importance in Island African American history.
