Arts Martha's Vineyard is very pleased to announce an important Creative Economy Speaker Series with several key statewide and local representatives who through their hard work expand and clarify the value of creative communities and initiatives throughout the state of Massachusetts.

Come to the Harbor View Hotel every Tuesday in October to hear and learn about the economic and social value of creative economy and what we can do to focus and expand our "creative industries" here on Martha's Vineyard.

Find out what's happening in Martha's Vineyardwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

Our Creative Economy — the total impact of arts, culture and design-related initiatives, organizations and businesses — is over 10 percent of our Island's economy. With added focus and economic, legislative and media initiatives that percentage can only grow. We can increase the economic and social vibrance of our community.

With our wealth of creative people our creative capacity we all will benefit from understanding best practices statewide — from the Berkeshires to the Cape, to here.
