What's Open, Closed On Veterans Day On The Vineyard?

Schools, banks and post offices are closed in observance of Veterans Day. But most restaurants and shops that are normally open Monday will be open November 11, 2013. When in doubt, call to confirm.



On November 11 we observe Veterans Day, a national holiday established in 1926 to honor men and women who have served in the military.

Here's a quick round up of what's open and closed on Martha's Vineyard this Veterans Day, 2013. If you know of other businesses that are open or closed, help out your Island neighbors by leaving a note in the comments below.

What's closed?
Public schools
Town offices
State and federal facilities, including post offices
Most banks

What's open?
Restaurants that are normally open Mondays
Liquor stores
Grocery stores
Retailers that are normally open Mondays
Bus routes are operating as usual
