After-Hours at the Library

The is hosting an honoring the culmination of the “Year of the West Tisbury Library” on Sunday, July 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. Local chefs, including Daniel Sauer, Jean-Marc Dupon and Jan Buhrman, and local authors, including Holly Nadler, Cynthia Riggs and Robert Fogelson will be on hand. Al Schackman will provide music.

 

Celebrating a Fine Lady

Della Hardman Day—in celebration of the artist, educator and former Vineyard Gazette columnist and long-time Vineyard resident—will take place Saturday, July 30 at 4 p.m. at . Award-winning poet Sonia Sanchez will be the featured guest at the free event.

 

Run for Fun

The Vineyard Scoops 5K kicks off Sunday, July 31 at 9 a.m. at the Farm Institute in Katama. The course will take runners along Katama Bay and South Beach, before ending back at the Farm Institute. A half-kilometer fun run for kids will be held at the Farm Institute at 8:45 a.m. Registration is $15 in advance, $20 the day of the race, and $5 for the fun run.
