Shakespeare Under the Stars

Shakespeare at the Tisbury Amphitheater has returned for another summer season. Performances of will take place Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24 at 5 p.m. Admission is $25, $10 for ages 18 and under. The performance takes place outdoors; bring bug spray, blankets, lawn chairs and cash or a check.

Sharks on the Dock

Want to see some sharks? Fishermen have traveled far and wide for the 25th annual ; they’ll display their fearsome, and sometimes gruesome, catches at weigh stations on the docks of the Oak Bluffs Habor. The weigh station will be open from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 23.

Best in Show

More than 50 antique and custom cars will be on display on Saturday, July 23 when the Tisbury Firefighters Association presents its at the RM Packer lot on Beach Road. The event, which takes place from 4 to 8 p.m., will feature live music, hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks.

 

Celebrating Tennessee William's 100th Birthday

The Vineyard Playhouse is celebrating the 100th birthday of Tennessee Williams with —“The Dark Room,” “Interior: Panic,” “The Pretty Trap” and “I Never Get Dressed Till After Dark on Sundays”—on Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are 35, $30 for seniors and students.

 

Blues Legend at Nectar's

Famed blues musician with take the stage at Nectar’s on Sunday, July 24. Doors open at 9 p.m. Tickets are $50, $65 at the door.
