The Vineyard Conservation Society Invites You to Clean Up Your Beach!

The 20th Annual Earth Day Beach Clean Up is tomorrow, Saturday April 21st

This Saturday April 21, 2012, starting from 10 am - noon, the (VCS) invites and encourages all to clean up their favorite beach in honor of Earth Day.

This year, they expect to clean 25 of our Island beaches. This is a great family event, with an after-party from noon - 2 pm at Tisbury Wharf Co. with refreshments and pizza from Flatbread Co. (while supplies last).

  1. Pick your favorite beach and head out
  2. Volunteers will be there with everything you need
  3. Afterward, join VCS at the Tisbury Wharf to celebrate with pizza from Flatbread!

This year's beaches include:

Aquinnah:
Lobsterville, Philbin, Tribal Beaches

Chilmark:
Squibnocket, Menemsha, Lucy Vincent

Edgartown:

Fuller Street, Wilson’s Landing, Lighthouse Beach, South Beach (Left & Right Fork), State Beach (Bend in the Road)

Oak Bluffs:

Eastville Point, State Beach (Little Bridge), Town Beach (SSA to Inkwell)

Tisbury:

Lagoon Pond Landing, Lake Street Landing, Tashmoo Opening, Owen Little Way, Grove Ave Beach, Mink Meadows, Hines Point, Owen Park, VH harbor (SSA to RM Packer)

West Tisbury:

Cedar Tree Neck, Lambert’s Cove
