St. Patrick's Day Parade, Parties, Films on Martha's Vineyard

Islanders prepare to get their Irish on this weekend with a parade, live music and movies from Ireland — even a limerick contest with valuable prizes.

St. Patrick's Day weekend is on the way, when we celebrate Irish-American culture and heritage.

For the second year in Edgartown, a St. Patrick's Day parade will wend its way along Dock Street to the Newes from America Pub, starting at the foot of Main Street at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

The Newes and Kelley House Hotel are hosting a day of festivities beginning at 11 a.m. and including face painting for kids and a limerick contest with the top prize a stay at the Kelley House with dinner for two (see attached entry form).
