UPDATED: Snow Returns to Vineyard, Schools Delayed

An estimated two to four inches of new snow is expected to fall on the Vineyard in this latest storm, according to the National Weather Service, which has updated its winter weather advisory.

Updated Wednesday, 5:15 a.m.: Martha's Vineyard public schools are starting two hours later than usual today and the National Weather Service has adjusted its snowfall prediction for the area to two to four inches by 1 p.m.

Earlier:
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod, in effect from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 1 p.m. Wednesday.

An estimated three to five inches of new snow is expected to fall overnight and Wednesday morning, according to the NWS, which issues a winter weather advisory when snow or ice is predicted, but accumulations are expected to be light.
