Patch reader and contributor Maggie Dempsey sent in this photo of hail from Wednesday night's storm. That same storm system brought destructive tornadoes to western Massachusetts. The Vineyard fared much better. These nickle-sized pellets pelted the Island, but soon after melted without incident.
