President Barack Obama announced he will spend two weeks on Martha's Vineyard in August.

The Obamas has become summer regulars on Martha's Vineyard. The president has vacationed on Martha's Vineyard every year of his presidency except in 2012 when he was running for reelection.

This year, they are headed to the Vineyard on Aug. 9 and are expected to stay until Aug. 24.

The vacation is expected to be the longest in Obama's presidency.

Expect plenty of crowds, closed roads, media people and photos of the president playing golf on Martha's Vineyard in August.

@Tara, funny that you use a dinosaur as your handle. It's befits the mentality of your party. The end of the relevance of the Republican Party can't come soon enough. Santa Claus? Funny you mention that since Republicans have tried to be the tax cut Santa Claus for 40 years. The public is wising up though. It's not so easy to cover up the Southern Strategy, misogyny, and wealth redistribution upwards any more.

Your President, The Messiah, The One Who Would Stop the Oceans Rise, is the best thing to happen to the Republican Party in generations.

Frank, Frank... we all know the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17. and Israel's invasion of Gaza are George W. Bush's fault.

Now that Deval Patrick has extended the welcome mat, Martha's Vineyard would be an ideal home for a few thousand illegal immigrant minors.
