Nudity Still the Norm at Some Martha's Vineyard Beaches

Not everybody likes to wear a swimsuit at the beach. During last week's heat wave on Martha's Vineyard, nude sunbathers and swimmers made their way to this up-Island landmark, a town-owned beach where — as at some other Island swimming spots — naked people are nothing new. (See the comments below.)

Do you recognize our Beach of the Day? How do you feel about public nudity? Tell us in the comments.

There are others....but I'm not telling. I agree that we should not be drawing attention to the few nude beaches or parts of beaches that are left.

Nudity is prohibited at Moshup Beach, according to posted signs, and people appear to be heeding the rule: We didn't see any unclothed bathers at Moshup, on the same day we saw many at the beach in this photo.

Let's just leave it alone, shall we?

I prefer bathing in the buff at jungle beach!

Louisa is correct that nudity is prohibited at Moshup. But this beach actually ends at one point, often it's hard to see the sign. After this sign, clothing is optional.
