Meet Skip and Karen Finley of Oak Bluffs, if you didn't already know them from their many years as Martha's Vineyard residents.
The Finleys' 41-year marriage was recently spotlighted in a New York Times interview titled "Never Too Many 'I Love You's' for This Couple."
Among the secrets the Finleys shared with the Times's "Booming: 'Making It Last'" column, which profiles baby-boomer couples who have been together for at least a quarter-century:
- Always have dinner together.
- Never leave the house or end a conversation without saying, “I love you.”
- "And Naked Thursday," Skip says. "It's what keeps us in shape." (And "keeps the visitors down," Karen adds.)
