Ferries Cancelled Again as Blizzard Rages
Dukes County emergency manager Chuck Cotnoir advises Islanders that we can expect another 3 to 6 inches of snow before this storm finally departs.
Wednesday, Jan. 22, 10:15 a.m.: The Steamship Authority has now cancelled the boats that had been scheduled to run this morning and into the afternoon. Check steamshipauthority.com for information on specific sailings.

The Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority webpage indicates that ferry service will resume as scheduled Wednesday beginning with the 10:45 a.m. sailing from Vineyard Haven.
The National Weather Service blizzard warning remains in effect until 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Martha's Vineyard schools and the Boys & Girls Club are closed today, as are town offices and most libraries. The YMCA is opening at noon; its after-school program is cancelled, but all other programs will take place as scheduled.
