Edgartown Spa Creates Oasis For Cyclists

Cold water, comfy chairs and a big umbrella for shade await thirsty, tired cyclists at The Mod Spa in Edgartown.

Pedaling the roads and trails of Martha's Vineyard can make a bicyclist pretty thirsty.

Fortunately for the parched throats of countless cyclists who make their way to Edgartown, The Mod Spa has created a refreshment station at the Triangle, just off the Oak Bluffs-to-Edgartown bike path and across the street from the Vineyard Haven-Edgartown path.

The only things missing that would make it a perfect oasis are palm trees and a pool: There's cold water, comfy chairs and a big umbrella for shade.

All The Mod Spa asks in return is that visitors keep their voices down, so as not to disturb spa patrons, and use the trashcan provided.

Have you had occasion to use the water station at The Mod Spa? Tell us in the comments.
