Edgartown Dog to be Euthanized After Fight

An Edgartown dog will be euthanized after he was found fighting with another dog in early July, according to the Martha's Vineyard Gazette.

Tommy, a pitbull-hound mix will be euthanized at the discretion of his owner, according to the Gazette. Tommy had been involved in a fight with another local resident's dog, Ramune, an American Staffordshire terrier.

The incident occurred on July 6, when Edgartown's assistant animal control officer, Jennifer Morgan, responded to a report of a dog fight. Both dogs were injured and needed veterinarian care, according to the Gazette.
