Children's Parade Set for Fourth in Oak Bluffs Campground

There's more than one Fourth of July parade on Martha's Vineyard, and you can catch them both on Thursday.

The Fourth of July children's parade in the Oak Bluffs campground is scheduled for Thursday morning, according to a Facebook update from the Martha's Vineyard Camp Meeting Association.

The parade will assemble at 9:30 a.m. at West Clinton Avenue and begin promptly at 10 a.m., according to the association's website, mvcma.org.

Thursday afternoon, Edgartown's Independence Day parade steps off at 5 p.m. from the Edgartown School.

Parking along the parade route will be banned starting at 3 p.m. and the parade route will be shut down to all traffic at 4:15 p.m., police chief Tony Bettencourt told Patch Tuesday.
