Big Chili Contest Tickets Go On Sale Today

Tickets went on sale today at noon for mvyradio's 26th annual Big Chili Contest. This year's contest takes place on Saturday January 28th at the PA Club in Oak Bluffs. The benefit, that supports the Red Stocking Fund, is sure to sell out according to an article on Martha's Vineyard On-Line (MVOL).

Last year's event raised $35,000. MVOL reports that, "Of all the things the Vineyard is known for, you might not think that chili would be among them. However, thanks to mvyradio's annual Big Chili Contest, the island has become a destination for chili chefs, chili lovers and professional partiers from the Cape and beyond. Thousands of visitors from as far away as Boston and Rhode Island descend upon the Vineyard every January for a South-of-the-Border experience that's legendary."

Tickets went on-sale today on Island at noon at Shirley's Hardware, Trader Freds and will go on sale at 6 pm across the water at The Beach House in Falmouth.

A limited number of tickets will are available by mail.  Send a self addressed stamped envelope to :

Tickets are $30 each and there is a maximum of 4 tickets per person. Tickets by mail must be postmarked no earlier than Jan 10th.  There will only be a limited number of tickets offered by mail.  All ticket requests that cannot be fulfilled because we are sold out will be returned.

There will be a very limited number of tickets made available at the door on the day of the event.  Please note, this is a 21+ event.
