A Harmonious Solstice Celebration

Poets and musicians will honor the summer solstice and the 15th anniversary of Featherstone.

The longest day of the year is almost here, and with it comes a celebration.

On Tuesday, June 21, from 5 to 9 p.m. poets and musicians will congregate at Featherstone Center for the Arts’s outdoor stage to honor the summer solstice and the 15th anniversary of Featherstone.

Participating poets and musicians include Maureen Hall, Michael West and Kevin Keady.

"[It] seems like the weather forecast will be a beautiful day," event creator William Waterway said. "It's so beautiful there, sitting behind the groves of trees on the hillside with the music and children running around and playing, and dogs running. I've always felt a spiritual feeling about it, that Featherstone park."

A donation of $5 is suggested; all proceeds will benefit Featherstone.
