MA Safe Routes to School Poster Contest - win a free bike and more!

Calling 5th graders! MA Safe Routes to School folks are hosting a National Poster Contest for you! The state winner receives a bike, helmet and light; 2nd place helmet and light; 3rd place a helmet. The MA winner goes on to compete in the National contest. National winner receives a trip to Bike Summit in DC and his/her school wins a Saris bike rack for his/her school. This year’s theme is “Nothing compares to the simple pleasure of a bike ride.” John F Kennedy.  Details below and at sarispostercontest.com.

DETAILS:

WHO: 5th graders
WHAT: The MA Safe Routes to School contest aims to get our 5th graders thinking about the bicycle as a way of getting places (for fun or transportation). Each student is asked to create a poster that reveals his or her understanding of the many different values of bicycling (its fun, healthy and green).
