Wednesday Specials: Kitchenware and Shellfish

Five things to do on the Vineyard this Jan. 29, 2014.

1. Wednesday's weekly special at Chicken Alley Thrift Shop, 38 Lagoon Pond Rd. in Vineyard Haven, is 50 percent of kitchenware from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Your purchases support MV Community Services.

2. The Wednesday special at Menemsha Fish Market is shellfish two for one. However, the fish market maybe closed some Wednesdays, so please call ahead:  508-645-2282.

3. The Martha's Vineyard Boards of Health are holding a joint public hearing on proposed fertilizer limits, Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the high school cafeteria. This initial hearing will be followed by hearings before individual town Boards of Health and before the Martha's Vineyard Commission. 

4. Wednesdays, First Congregational Church in West Tisbury holds its weekly Community Supper starting at 5:30 p.m.

5. Wednesday is trivia night at The Wharf in Edgartown, reports the Martha's Vineyard Times.
