Pumpkin Carving, Ukulele Jam, Anime Club, Sports Nutrition: Free Stuff to Do on MV

Five things to do that won't cost you any money.

  1. Attention teens: Alex's Place at the Y is open from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the Anime Club meets Wednesdays at 3 p.m. Free.
  2. Also at the Y, learn about sports nutrition from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Free.
  3. Carve your pumpkin with expert assistance at the Edgartown Public Library, Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Bring your hollow pumpkin and the library will supply the carving and drilling tools. Free.
  4. At 7 p.m. Wednesday, the weekly two-hour ukulele jam takes place at Featherstone Center for the Arts in Oak Bluffs. Free.
  5. Also at 7 p.m., the Chilmark Zoning Board of Appeals meets at Town HallThe agenda includes a request by actors Tony Shalhoub and Brooke Adams to convert an existing detached bedroom into a 766-square-foot guesthouse.
