  1. The Wednesday Open Playgroup at the Martha's Vineyard Community Services Family Center runs from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 100 Edgartown Road, Oak Bluffs. More info: 508 693-7900 x283 or

  2. The Family Center is also holding a Potluck Dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., posting on its website "Bring a dish to share and enjoy an evening of fun and conversation with other families.
  3. Wednesday's weekly special at Chicken Alley Thrift Shop, 38 Lagoon Pond Rd. in Vineyard Haven, is 50 percent of kitchenware from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Your purchases support MV Community Services.
  4. Wednesday is trivia night at The Wharf in Edgartown, reports the Martha's Vineyard Times.
