Vineyard Runners Reported Safe After Marathon Explosions
The Martha's Vineyard Times reports that local marathoners Marylee Schroeder and Amy O'Callaghan are safe after Monday's explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line.
Two women who competed in today's Boston Marathon escaped uninjured from the finish-line explosions, according to a Martha's Vineyard Times report.
Runners Marylee Schroeder and Amy O'Callaghan were unhurt, the Times reports.

Updated 5:40 p.m.: At least one other Islander, 61-year-old Laurence Johnson of Vineyard Haven, supposedly ran the marathon today: His finish time is recorded on the Boston Athletic Association website: http://www.baa.org/individual.html.
But, according to an acquaintance of both runners who contacted Patch on Facebook, Johnson gave his bib to O'Callaghan to run in his stead.
