Preservation of Gay Head Light Subject of Special Town Meeting
Aquinnah voters will weigh whether or not the town should purchase and preserve Gay Head Light at Tuesday's Special Town Meeting.
The purchase and preservation of Gay Head Light will be the subject of a special town meeting in Aquinnah on Tuesday, Feb. 5, starting at 7:30pm.
Voters will consider purchasing the lighthouse and the transfer of $5,000 of Community Preservation Committee Funds for a feasibility study.
There will be two special town meetings on Tuesday: The first, the continuation of a Nov. 15, 2012 special town meeting that did not get a quorum and the second, dedicated to Gay Head Light.
