Pink Moon Rising: Show Us Your Photos

A full moon's rising tonight, with Saturn on the side, and the skies over Martha's Vineyard are perfect for photographs.

The first full moon of spring — the "Pink Moon," as it's called — rises over Martha's Vineyard tonight and mostly-clear skies promise some fantastic views.

The full moon rises at 7:47 p.m. Thursday, according to TimeandDate.com.

Don't let the name fool you: The pink moon wasn't named for its color, but rather for wild ground phlox, which tend to blossom this time of year.

Nevertheless, all the elements are here for some great photographs — including the planet Saturn, which will be shining brightly near tonight's full moon.
