The theme works in conjunction with the Martha’s Vineyard Museum’s current exhibit on display, which will run through Labor Day.

An evening under the white tent overlooking Edgartown Harbor will start with cocktails at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and an 8 p.m. auction.

"There are currently 10 live auction items and over 60 silent auction items as well as a raffle," Events Manager Katy Fuller said.

The Museum’s Special Events Committee chaired by Gail Farrish handpicked the items up for bidding, including a 2011 Hyundai Accent and a trip to Arles, France with airfare provided.

Even the meals and entertainment will be Vineyard, with each part based on a different town. Edgartown presents Phyllis Meras, Tisbury presents Rose Styron and much more.

"Louise DuArt, one of the auctioneers, will be doing impersonations of people throughout the live auction,” Fuller said. "There will definitely be comedy incorporated into the auction."

Tickets are $175, or $2,500 for a table of eight people with special recognition.

Shuttle service will be offered from the Edgartown School parking lot beginning at 5 p.m. Call 508-627-4441 ext. 110 for more information.
